"Switch the X and Z axes" is a great option.
To decrease the mystery and lessen the documentation search I would make it: "Switch the X and Z axes (i.e. Unity)" this way the users see it in the menu right away.
Thanks for this attention to this issue. Drilling through this process was almost mind breaking. I knew my goal but was trying too many things at one time. Now it is just click,click,click as it should be. There are no tool problems in my way and this gave the clearing to get this hammered down.
