There used to be titles in previous versions for Boolean operations such as:

Boolean Union
Boolean B Subtract A
Boolean A Subtract B
Boolean Intersect

then those were replaced by:

Boolean Split
Boolean Union
Boolean Intersect

This video shows the former Boolean menu:

How do I perform Boolean operations such as Split, Union or Intersect with the latest integrated version of Wings 3D & ManifoldLab?

Tia!

I'm getting lost in the fog of the latest Boolean development which was started by puzzeldpaul and I don't want to interfere with his thread.

Hence my question remains how does a Boolean split/subtraction how work?
I hope the attached pic show what I'm trying to achieve.

I can't see the attached thumbnail if I click on it. I'm a bit in the fog as to how thumbnails work here.
I get a security permissions error. But I am logged in and can see that at top pf page.

ggaliens,
I have had trouble viewing attachments as well in the past but I am able to view them now. Sometimes I would have trouble with some and not with others. I don't know why I can now or why I couldn't in the past. Sorry that doesn't help... just letting you know I have felt your pain.... Smile Sad

I will post pic via link to Imageshack later.

There is no more "Voronoi Fracture"

It goes by a few different names now. It would be good to get you uptodate with Voronoi plugin.

Based on your inquiry ... I started playing with the PLANE-CUT version of this workflow where rather than use full-blown CSG BOOLEAN ... it just uses plane cut 6 times (use planes of a cube).

I have significantly enhanced my "Polyhedra as cutter" by adding Optigons preview dialog to it. More testing of this and and then a release follows.

The plane cut version does not require the "EXPLODE" to avoid odd ball maths ... but it has its own goofy aspects I need to attend to.

Yes but if its not a Cube as opposed to some other 3d geometry such as a Stellated Dodecahedron for example, this would make the Plane-Cutting approach very challenging indeed, would it not?

In addition: how would I imprint a Voronoi mesh onto and iso-surface, such as a Paraboloid for example?.....I'm thinking Boolean should work?
