Can you please enable copy/paste for text boxes? I realise it may not be a trivial task across platforms, but it's still annoying not to have this.

I took a look at this in the past and I Don't think we can get it in the current UI. It would be necessary change/export some code on SDL library - it was hard to check the code that time. Sad

But if you want copy data you have entered before in other Wings text box you can just use the Up or Down arrow inside the box - I cannot check which of them now - just try. Smile

I'm not sure if this asking about what I would like to see implemented or not.
Is it possible to have copy and paste to and from numeric input fields? I for one would find that quite useful, particularly in the absence of a macro or scripting facility.

That will be [probably] available in the next version of Wings3d that uses wxWidgets for the UI. dgud is working on it. Smile

Dan ... can you verify this to be more than rumor ... about re-starting wxWidgets intergration into Wings3D ?

Where could we learn more about this ? I went looking for a github trail of activity or a project ... didn't see the trail or evidence on first glance.

Maybe someone can pop me a link I could use to follow along a bit.

It's the wx-backend branch:
https://github.com/dgud/wings/tree/dgud/wx-backend
I've been able to compile and run it, but it looks like the main menu is the only thing that works so far. The wxWidgets subsystem crashes easily and takes all keyboard and mouse input with it.

I don't have this kind of problem, being able to use the pop-up menus without problem.
Problems still can be found in the material editor. In this case, just disable the render plugins in the Plugins management dialog.

Micheus ... Dan ... if there is a serious movement afoot to try and release a dev version of Wings with wxWidgets in the not to distant future ... could I participate a bit ?

I'd like to have an experimental build with wxWidgets if at all possible ... maybe w/o going through all the build wranglings initially ? Could I by chance get an installer ?

Micheus ... do you have any experimental build installer for Windows you could share with me ?

The branch is there (but it moves) why don't you just build it yourself, takes 2 mins..

I can't even use the context menu. The UI engine crashes immediately. This doesn't happen in builds of Bjorn's old branch.
Linux here, by the way (32-bit Debian 7 and 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04).
