I'm making this scene for a competition.
The theme is "Middle Earth". I was inspired by JRR Tolkien's original sketches of
"Bag End Hall". I think I am finally learning how to use all the pov-ray settings in Wings.
The view out the door is actually the view from the movie set in New Zealand.

The coffee is lovely dark and deep and I have code to write before I sleep.

Thanks for the encouragement. To get the image plane to stay bright and not have shadows
from the lights in the hall I discovered that you turn down the diffuse under finishes in the pov-ray settings of the material. I have not figured out how to make a good light for inside the light fixtures.

I posted this and other tips I discovered in the Fonte Boa's site (portuguese) has long time.
In order to not mess up your thread I create a new thread for POV-Ray tips on Off Topic session.

Great looking models. What are your plans for the future. As in, real life. A professional modeller?

The only reason I ask is because if you are planning on modelling professionally, there is a 100% chance that you will have to know how to UV map. Also, learning texturing will open so many more doors for you. Smile

You've got a great sense of style. Keep it up!
