Wings3D to use on Windows XP

I tested Wings3D on Windows XP and the last working version is 2.0.
2.1 has XP breaking changes, I guess it's the GUI rewrite maybe? At anyrate, I have a XP machine I have brought back from the dead to run Wings3D and Mirai Smile
