Wings Marquee Select methods are the following ones:

1. Beginning to draw the marquee with cursor outside geometry:

a. just draw the marquee:
select all elements marquee crosses, front and back ones;

b. hold Shift, draw the marquee:
select all elements inside marquee, just the front ones.

2. Beginning to draw the marquee with cursor over geometry:

a. hold Shift and draw a marquee:
select all elements inside marquee, just the front ones

b. hold Shift, begin draw a marquee, release Shift, end marquee drawing:
select all element marquee crosses, front and back ones
