Maxim,Thank you for making the thread.
I have same trouble Wings3D 2.0.4 doesn't start in Windows10,too.
So I couldn't to try out latest Wings3D version in Windows.

About a custom font(wingsfont) for older Wings3D version
It doesn't use a font that is installed in the OS.
The wingsfont will be converted automatically when Wings3D build from source.

And simple described is as below.
Quote:.bdf format font(unix bitmap font) -- Converting (when Wings3D program build form source code) --> .wingsfont (binary data)

If you make wingsfont,at first you must look at for a font of bdf format.
bdf font file is a text data that describe bitmap data of font.
However,It can not be convert from a TrueType or OpenType format(.ttf,.otf, these are vector data).
There is no ttf to wingsfont converter.
In addition to it,If the font that was created for Wings3Dv1.5.1 moved to v1.5.4 it would get an error.

In the past,I have been to challenge for make custom Wings3D's UIfont.
It would take a very hard task.

But,the memo is for the way by MacOSX and out-of-date information.
if you're interested in it, see the text.

I tried Wings3D 2.0.4.1 immediately
Application will now start normally. Biggrin

However, Blocked by Windows Smart Screen dialog when installer clicked.
(It is "Unkown Publisher" message, and I click run the program in the dialog, then Wings3D has been installed successful.)

Thank you dgud!

Dgud, thank you for updating! Looks like everything works fine now.
Except... I can't see the menu for binding commands to a specific keys.
Something has changed in conception for customising commands operations?
Let's say, I want to bind key "A" for such operation as Move Normal. How to do that? In the old stable releases there was an aditional menu above dialog box with list of all available commands.

tkbd, Thank you for explanation about fonts Smile But it looks fine for me in later releases. It was nessesary only for stable 1.5.4 release. I don't know why the Developers have put so uncomfortable fonts in there.

Yes, that was changed after Wings3d started to use wxWidgets library. Take a look at the main menu Help->How To Define Hotkeys. Wink
