I would just like to say a huge thank you to the group and especially to the authors and developers of Wings3D.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that I would be capable of creating this.
Thanks also to the people who have taken the time and trouble to make the tutorials available on the youtube channel, I am following those from Micheus and VscorpianC to eventually get to this standard.
Still a long way to go and this is work in progress but wow I am overjoyed at what I have created so far.
Keep up the good works people, it's a joy to be learning all this so quickly.

It works.
Despite having read the post highlighted in red I kept trying the contact button which does nothing, I could not make contact with anyone until I did actually sent an email then voila at last I can make a post.
It is down to my ignorance that I waited so long.

I am here due to trying to post on the Wings3D Facebook pages which all seem to be broken. Micheus found by chance my post and recommended me here.

Having browsed the forum I don't see a suitable section for my queries of trying to get help in following some of the outdated tutorials in the youtube channel.
I don't want to clog the forum with inappropriate posts and silly newbie questions so have started a new facebook group in the hope of attracting some experienced users that don't mind having their brains picked, please come along and give the benefit of your knowledge.
I am a retired computer engineer riddled with arthritis and use a joystick mouse with both hands so progress is slow for me.

I have my own version of Linux based on Debian Dog and further reduced for my needs which all packs on to a 2G sd card and boots in all of my devices as a live system with cloud storage, a copy of which is available on my shared drive should you wish to try it.
I am currently running the latest version of Wings3D build 2.2.7 on it and it works extremely well.
There are no instructions with it as I have written it for my own use but I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Hello!

I have been (physically) working on my "egg" (it's basically done, I still need to make a video to show the result and steps) and at the same time I've been working on a box (as in the french "boîtier") for a young company /startup designing and selling grow lights as well as assorted hardware such as environmental sensors.

We have our first PCB prototype available - the current shortage of semiconductors is a pain in the butt - and I've designed the box that should fit around it.

Only... I've only designed the outside of the shell. I suffer from some form of arthritis and using a mouse causes me severe pain. I'm looking for someone who knows Wings fairly well and would be willing - in exchange for remuneration - to just finish it off so it's printable in two parts (top and bottom, with some 6 screws or so) that don't interfere with the PCB and components (stl available) and have some kind of bevel so they fit together nicely. It is also desired to add a few cooling vents.

Is anyone out here available for this task? If yes, at what cost?
I've recently published a book on learning to model for complete beginners using Wings 3D, and I figured it would be nice to post the link here.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TW91PKH Also available in paperback;

It's available as an e-book (i.e. Kindle Fire, Kindle PC app, Android etc) and also a paperback.

Thank you to the developers of Wings and to all its users. I just got sick of Wings being overlooked as a viable option for game assets and have used it for several years to prove it's just as good as Blunder and 3DsMax etc.

Thanks.
