Subdivide...
This feels like an extremely stupid question, but, is it possible to subdivide a model in Wings? I mean, without smoothing?

RE: Subdivide...
If you mean to subdivide without lost the model shape, the answer is yes: use Body|AutoSmooth (you may have to experiment different angle values). This will attribute to some edges Hardness|Hard. After this, you can Smooth the model without lost its shape.
At the end you can select all the edges and attribute them Hardness|Soft. I've recorded two short tutorials about this in 2010: __________________________________ http://www.youtube.com/wings3dchannel http://www.facebook.com/wings3dchannel |

RE: Subdivide...
Hey Fonte!
Thanks dude! That is exactly what I was looking for! Mainly I was trying to do some AO texture pass easily in Wings, but with its lack of high poly handling, it may not work afterall. Cheers sir, I appreciate your help!! |

Your videos provide a great source, as a refresher as I have not used wingd3d for well over 9 years
