Knots in polyester rope:

In the How To session you found two tutorials:
- making the Overhand Knot;
- Unwraping a twisted mesh
Looks like very nice climbing rope to me. Let's go caving.
Thanks Micheus... someone can learn many things from those instruction videos, even if he is a years long user of Wings. : - )
Nice choice of colors in your polyester knots.

Thanks Dimitri. It's good to know they are useful. Smile

I just updated the know post.

One hard thing in this kind of shape is the unwrap process. I decided to share the way I did it and maybe someone else could have a better idea about how to improve the workflow. Smile

marquis, the colours were based in the original image I found and used to create the pattern:

I used the green one to extract pattern and to "fill" the 2K image. After that I used the Colourise tool from Gimp to create the other colours. A desaturated version was used to create the bump and normal map:

Wings3D: Modeling and base marble texture;
Gimp: Normal map for the text in low relief;
Substance Painter: Stone details and dust.
Blender: Particles for the grass and rendered with Cycles.
Just in case this could be of interest of somebody...

You did this on wx_backend branch to test it correct? :-)

Nice work as always.
I always don't know what to do in 3D, but as I can see you don`t ;D Interesting model. I would like to see this leash attached to the speaker in 3D! Smile
